Slaton Rivera provides FF&E Procurement Services to Hotel Owners and Developers. A partnership between industry veterans James DuBois and Nelson Maldonado, Slaton Rivera works as Agent to the Owner for a service fee based on a specified scope of work. With over 35 years of combined industry experience, a state-of-the-art purchasing system, and the flexibility to tailor services to meet specific client needs and requirements, Slaton Rivera excels not only at executing the purchase and delivery of FF&E, but also at problem-solving and providing knowledge-based solutions to the challenges that can occur throughout the course of a project.  With these qualities, along with ethical and transparent business practices, Slaton Rivera is well-positioned to manage Furniture Fixtures & Equipment procurement projects from kickoff to closeout. 

JAMES DUBOIS

PRINCIPAL

James has managed FF&E procurement projects domestically and internationally for over 20 years, following a transition from commercial property insurance brokerage. A graduate of The University of Alabama, James has experience with large and small-scale new-build and renovation projects across all market segments. In his free time, James enjoys music production, playing golf, and following Crimson Tide football.

NELSON MALDONADO

PRINCIPAL

Nelson has worked in the hospitality industry since 1990, initially in the engineering department for several prominent New York City hotels, including The Cornell Club and The London (formerly the RIHGA Royal). In 2007, Nelson transitioned to a career in FF&E procurement and has successfully managed over 100 FF&E projects for Owners and Developers across the United States. Nelson’s personal interests include charcoal and pencil sketching, art history, and long distance running.
